Martin Bell to share experience with Independent Network

FORMER Independent MP and war correspondent Martin Bell will be among candidates, councillors and politicians attending a meeting of the Independent Network next week.  He will be joined by TV presenter and Luton South independent candidate Esther Rantzen and councillors from across the country on Friday September 25.  Mr Bell is lending his expertise to the Independent Network in its aim to boost the profile of independents as an alternative to party politicians.

  The strategy meeting is being held to establish the best way to support independent candidates in the run up to the forthcoming general election.  Members will also discuss how best to create a pool of resources to help candidates with their campaigns, as well as a network in which they can exchange ideas and advice.

  Independents from Peterborough, Derby, Mansfield, East Hertfordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Rutland, Wigan, Walthamstow and Tottenham will all be attending the meeting at 2pm in Omnibus House, North Road N7 9DP.
