Epitiro offers a range of services to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) enabling them to benchmark customer performance across dial up, cable, broadband and wireless connections.

The ISP-I™ platform & technology from Epitiro emulates an Internet user’s activity and gathers a range of detailed statistics including connection speed, reliability, performance and email delivery for independent analyses.

Objectives

  • Establish Epitiro as the independent authority on ISP performance
  • Establish Epitiro as a thought leader and expert commentator on the Internet industry
  • Further establish the Epitiro brand in the ISP sector

Strategy and Plan

Parker, Wayne and Kent devised the concept of the IPI Report and produced media materials including a Q&A and backgrounder documents.

Parker, Wayne & Kent analysed raw data from the ISP-I™ testing and conducted news angle analysis on the results. The team’s comprehensive knowledge of the Internet industry allowed them to find suitable, newsworthy angles from a complex set of metrics.

Research, draft and sell in IPI Report releases (commencing Q2 2006)

Results

  • Parker, Wayne & Kent achieved overwhelming positive coverage in national, trade and online technology titles including The Guardian, BBC Online, The Register and Webuser. Examples of which can be seen in the PowerPoint presentation summarising coverage achieved for the Q2 IPI Report.
  • Epitiro directly attributes new business from New Zealand , China and several companies in the UK to the positive media coverage received for the first quarterly IPI Report.
