What is a Request For Proposal (RFP)?
If you're looking to grow your company using a strategic public relations campaign, an RFP is a vital document to help you find the right PR agency.
An RFP is a document which clearly outlines
what you want to achieve with a public relations function and the types of
activities you believe will be appropriate to fulfill your objectives. This enables a PR agency to tender for your business and tailor their pitch to meet your exact requirements.
We're developing a request for proposal tool called RFP Builder. It's
currently in beta version.
How do I create an RFP?
Creating an RFP is easy because we've done all the hard work for you.
Our easy-to-use Beta RFP Builder will guide you through the process step-by-step
enabling you to complete a clear and concise RFP.
It's even fully customisable allowing you to include your company logo and
bordered with your company colours.
Once complete the RFP will be sent straight to your inbox.
What do I need to include?
You should fill in as many details as you feel necessary to describe your
company and what you're looking for from your public relations agency.
When completing a request for proposal document you should keep answers to the following
questions in mind:
Where are you now?
Where do you want to be?
How do you think you will get there?
Are you getting there?
Be SMART with your business objectives
Try to make the objectives in your RFP SMART:
- Specific- Specify exactly what you want to achieve
- Measurable- You should be able to measure whether or not you are meeting
your objectives
- Agreed- Your objectives should be agreed by all parties involved with
the campaign or project
- Realistic- Can you achieve your objectives with the resources you
currently have available?
- Time bound- Your set objectives should be completed within a particular
time frame
Your feedback is important
